EYE RISE – Urbanscapes Between Human & Machine

‘3D-GAN-Housing’ (Neural Sampling series) will open at The Arts House on the 4th of March 2022. This first-of-its-kind two-week long exhibition titled “EYE RISE: Urbanscapes Between Human and Machine” at the Old Parliament House (arguably Singapore’s oldest surviving building) will feature three-dimensional works generated with deep neural networks alongside the critically-acclaimed plein-air watercolours on paper by Singapore’s Cultural Medallion artist Ong Kim Seng. It explores the generative and uncanny architectural forms imagined by artificial intelligence, in contrast with the spontaneous and depictive architectural representations afforded by hand paintings.
